One Day Wilderness Experience
Before you depart on your much anticipated Safari, or game drive, learn how to find those elusive animals like your guide. Get involved in a hands on experience with the local environment and how to use its resources to survive.
Tune into the Bush - lessons from the land—use all your senses to detect where animals, water, birds, even danger are!!!
Wilderness Navigation - use bush markers to find out where you are. Figure out how to use a compass or GPS, and estimate time, distance, speed and natural occurrences to get to your destination.
Build a Fire Without Matches - find the materials and learn effective techniques for signaling, keeping warm, and cooking food.
Cooking in the Bush - prepare a gourmet bush meal, roasting food from the bush. You will learn how to identify what is and what is not edible.
Traps and Snares - discover how to catch food by choosing suitable locations, appropriate materials and practical designs
Track that Animal- see where an animal has been and where it’s going by its footprints, dung, and what it ate.
