Round House overlooks the Zambezi River

Close to Victoria Falls. But far away from everywhere

PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS
Our expert safari guide and photographer, Chris Worden, gives photographic tutorials to groups keen to make the best of their safari photography.   At an early start Chris will discuss photographic techniques best for game, birdlife and safari scenery and then take you out on the river and through the bush for a practical tutorial.   Then back to the lodge to download photographs and discuss the shots taken.   This day long course can make a real difference to your holiday shots.   This workshop must be prebooked.   Also by appointment Chris will guide you on a 5 day photography safari to our partner lodges at 'Birding in Zambia' where you will have the opportunity to photograph a wide range of scenery, wildlife and bird life.

THE LIVINGSTONE STORY AND BEYOND
Archoleologist and historian Rob Burrett reveals the fascinating history and prehistory of this part of the Zambezi and Victoria Falls, guiding you from royal settlement and early mission of Mwandi in the Western Province through to Livingstone on the door step of one of the greatest natural and cultural wonders of the world. Share in the rich cultural heritage of this area and the explorations of David Livingstone, Emil Holub and many other early travellers and missionaries who came this way in the nineteenth century. Also by appointment Rob will guide you on a 4-5 day safari through from Livingstone to the Matopos Hills in Zimbabwe, a truly majestic area, burial place of Cecil Rhodes and one of the most important sites of prehistoric rock paintings in Africa.  This historical, spiritual and archeological journey with Rob is an unforgettable experience.
