Grooms bring your horses to Waterberry for an early morning ride out

Close to Victoria Falls. But far away from everywhere

“… plenty of things to do or if you don't want to do anything it’s a great spot to unwind…”

HORSE RIDING
Horse trails from Waterberry are organised by Doug Evans who represents Zambia at international polo cross and is a horse trainer.   Doug has horses to suit all skills - from beginner to advanced -  and will match a horse to an individual rider.

Either your horses will be brought to Waterberry by Doug's team who will then escort you on a trail across open countryside and through woods alongside the Zambezi to his own stables where you will cool off with cold drinks and be brought back to the lodge by boat.

Or you will drive to the stables which are nearby and be matched with your horse and take a trail around Doug's own bridle paths through mopane forest and back for refreshments before returning to Waterberry.

You may see game more easily than if you are on foot - animals are less wary of riders - and in the dry season the woods around the stables are regularly foraged by elephants.
